From the 2017 full length musical. These are live recordings done in May. This was a cast of around 60 kids ages 8-14. We played to an audience of a few hundred on this night. The play is about the kids struggle to hold on to a small parcel of land where they can still be young in a very large and crazy 1970's New York City. While its a fairly typical type plot I think this play diverges when things get real. There are tough life circumstances, tough choices and tough repercussions. This was not Disney...it was more life. This play explores the idea that one grows through hard knocks just as much as hugs. In the end, love and forgiveness reigns. This in one of 7 musicals I've written. Very proud. I'd like to thanks Mason Ladoceur (keys/guitar) and Nathan Anderson (drums) and Dreamcoat Fantasy Theatre for producing this original work. A wonderful show.
